Best of Beauty 2017: Skin and Makeup

Happy New Year my dear readers! Hope your new year is off to a wonderful beginning!

Like I always do at the start of every year, I’d like to represent the best of the best beauty products I’ve discovered over this past year. From cosmetics and skincare bath & body products, now I’ve got a roundup of my top attractiveness favorites of 2017…from drugstore to high-end.

These will be the fabulous finds that really stood out and procured a high spot in my attractiveness stash so I am excited to share my love for them again!

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Breakout Full-Coverage Treatment Concealer ($28)

This can be a drying lotion + concealer in one that pulls double duty by hiding and healing breakouts at the exact same moment. I really like the way that it provides great coverage whilst treating acne…without being drying or irritating!

Having proven acne fighters like tea tree oil, sulfur, witch hazel and a gentle AHA/BHA complex (salicylic acid and lactic acid), it’s a must-have for eczema skin! Watch the swatches of all colors here.

L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara ($9)

The holy grail of drugstore mascaras! With a fairly pink tube along with a full brush, you receive flake-free voluminous coverage that lasts all day (but is easy to remove!)

At just $8 a pop, it’s a no-brainer pharmacy pick. And in case you did not know, it’s also a pharmacy Kits for Too Much Better Than Sex mascara!

Maybelline Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation ($8.26)

This cushion foundation has a creamy texture that applies easily and can also be lightly hydrating. Having a wonderful medium coverage and a natural satin finish that’s neither glowy nor too matte, this base ticks all the ideal boxes for cushion foundation fans like me…without a hefty price tag!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($42)

Estée Lauder’s original Dual Wear Stay-in-Place Liquid Foundation was too matte for my liking although the new Water Brand New Makeup is right up my street! It gives me good medium coverage with a satin matte finish that appears quite natural and wears daily.

Not to mention this new base is also infused with antioxidants and SPF 30 that is a plus in my book!

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour ($4.99)

This matte liquid badge really is a winner for me all fronts using its incredibly pigmented formulation that stays put without being uncomfortably drying. This is unquestionably among the very best drugstore matte liquid lipsticks!

The quality here competitions several high-end liquid lipsticks, but it’s an all-out beauty deal under $5! Here would be the swatches.

Olay Daily Facials 4-in-1 Water Activated Cleansing Cloths ($11, 66 count)

I adore these new facial cleansing cloths from Olay! Activated using water, these textured cleansing cloths remove dirt, oil and makeup (even waterproof mascara) using a soap-free lather whilst exfoliating skin…quickly and gently!

It is a multi-tasking must-have for anyone who would like a simple and hassle-free cleansing routine. Wish to see them in action…here you proceed!

Estée Lauder Pure Color Love Lipsticks ($22)

From the luxe, pigment-packed formulation to an array of trendy, stunning colours in fashion-forward finishes, I love everything about these new lipsticks! Here would be the swatches.

IT Cosmetics Perfect Lighting Radiant Touch Magic Wand ($29)

This 2-in-1 liquid concealer + correcting brightener is a superb  dupe for YSL Touche Eclat! Better still, it’s more affordable at just $29 and way more pigmented…what’s not to love! It hides my dark circles with a natural finish and wears well throughout the afternoon without fretting in those fine lines.

If you adore the YSL cult-favorite but find it a bit too pricey, I strongly recommend trying out this beginner by IT Cosmetics!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial ($80)

This chemical peel works as a decorative at a tube! The formulation contains pro-quality 25 percent AHAs (glycolic, tartaric, lactic, and citric acids) and 2% BHA (salicylic acid) blend to moisturize and lighten skin. Just leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes (you will feel a mild tingle!) And say hello to tender, supple, glowing complexion! Pricey but worth the splurge.

CliniqueFIT Exercise 24-Hour Mascara ($20)

This volumizing mascara is component of this new fitness-inspired CliniqueFIT  Workout makeup and skin care collection. The mascara really moves the distance and wears very well, even after a sweaty workout session…if it be my Zumba class or Yoga! It stays without smearing, smudging or flaking. If you wear mascara at the gym, you NEED this now!

Revlon ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow ($7)

I like cream eyeshadows, and such ones from Revlon are my drugstore favourite! The eyeshadow formulation is topnotch and the quality rivals some high-end manufacturers. Not only can it be well-pigmented with a slick, weightless feel but also remains put crease-free daily long. I’ve swatches of 4 colors here.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint ($12.80)

My dry skin loves this lightly hydrating sheer base! It provides natural, lightweight coverage and evens out my skin tone perfectly, which makes my dull, tired skin seem fresh. It is fantastic for those days once I want a fast and easy makeup look!

Cetaphil Redness Relieving Tinted Facial Moisturizer SPF 20 ($11)

This multi-tasking tinted moisturizer not only offers wide spectrum sun protection using gentle, 100% mineral SPF, but in addition provides light to medium coverage when neutralizing any redness in my head. This one is a keeper…especially great for sensitive skin!

Derma-e Vitamin C Concentrated Serum ($19)

This is one of my favorite Vitamin C serums! It packs the ability of stable non-oxidizing Vitamin C together with antioxidants and probiotics to help lighten skin. Plus, soothing aloe, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E provide vital hydration.

I really like its cosmetically elegant texture that glides on super easily, but my favourite part is its own mild, soothing scent. Derma E can also be vegan + cruelty-free that is a plus!

Dove Shower Foam ($6)

This shower foam is among my everyday essentials! With its gentle, fluffy lather directly out of this pump, so I don’t even need a loofah for program. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and supple — no dryness or tight sense!

In actuality, I find it tender and hydrating enough for my head (which can be a big and, considering that I’ve naturally dry skin!) Once you give it a go, I bet you’ll be stocking up on it…as if I did!

Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1 percent Retinoid Acne Treatment ($11)

This can be an acne-fighting retinoid gel (includes 0.1% adapalene) that has been formerly accessible only by prescription.   I’ve acne-prone skin so that this product was a wonderful addition to my skin care routine…and a little goes a very long way! The best part is that now it’s readily available at drugstores!

Clinique Pep-Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($19.50)

Sunscreen that doesn’t feel like a sunscreen! I really like how it’s such a lightweight feel with a sheer shade that perks up my skin. And there’s no white cast to be worried about! It is  fragrance-free using a gentle mix of mineral sunscreen actives (nitric oxide and titanium dioxide) that is great for sensitive skin.

These are my top beauty favorites of all 2017!
